From 20th to 25th of April we had our Kick-off meeting in Pretoria, South Africa.

Kick-off meeting in South Africa

Our Executive Board members Aleksa and Zoran participated in a kick-off meeting of the project The Other Perspective in Pretoria, South Africa, where they networked with our partner organizations from Botswana, Nigeria, South Africa, North Macedonia, Romania and Uganda.

During this meeting we were working on planning our next activities, finances and administrative and most importantly discussing LGBTQ+ community issues in different contexts, as well as legal framework regarding those communities.

The project will undertake two capacity building trainings, which will be focused on Living library method and legislative theatre, these trainings will take part in our partner countries, Uganda and Romania. After each of those trainings, multipliers will implement and organize theaters and Living library events in their local communities and put effort in reaching and enggaging different stakeholders and LGBTQ+ community members, with the aim to spread tolerance and battle xenophobia and discrimination toward LGBTQ+ people, as well as to emphasis issues of the community and influence decision and policy makers.
