Training 1 - Living library

First of capacity building activities, was the 1st training that happened in Entebbe, Uganda, from  29th until 7th of November 2021. It gathered 30 participants and representatives of the partners organizations.

The training was about the method Living library. Together we were learning and developing our competencies through topics of human rights education, interculturality, cultural sensitivity, privilege's, racism and discrimination toward LGBTQ+ people.

It was interesting to hear and learn about the situation and different contexts regarding LGBTQ+ people in involved African and European countries. Also big point was intercultural learning and exploring different cultures.

In the next phase of the project each country will have to implement Living library events and methodology, with LGBTQ+ people involved in the event as books.

If you want to know more about Living library methodology, you can find it on this link of Council of Europe.
